One of our cars has a key type where you leave the whole device in your pocket. With the remote in this unit it doesn't transmit - I held the bag right next to the doorknob and the car wouldn't open and the ignition wouldn't turn on. Exactly what we wanted as a security measure. Edited to add: There are two pockets in this pouch. The bunch of keys must be inserted into the one with a metal pad. This lining blocks the signal. If you put it in another bag, you will think that the bag is not working.
