Everything is fine with this purchase. The product itself is exactly what I wanted. I wanted a single serving option (a large cup sized portion) and this cute little guy nailed it. FWIW, I measure two cups of Berkey filtered water into a Pyrex mug and toss it for three minutes. While it's heating up, I put two tablespoons of coffee grounds in the pot and then clear the dishes or wipe down the counters or something. Then I pour very hot water into the pot, stir with a spoon so that everything is moist, put the lid on and set the timer for 5 minutes. Then I feed the dogs, put cream and sweetener in a Contigo Autoseal cup (highly recommend) and do other small chores and wait for the 5 minutes to pass. When the time comes, I slowly press the plunger and pour surprisingly hot, delicious coffee into a mug. I check the temperature because it's HOT. Then I clean the pan - or not - sometimes it stays there for a while. I wash the grounds through a small sieve and pour them into a jar that I later take to the garden. I enjoy coffee very much. It makes the best coffee I've ever had. The construction seems excellent. Stainless steel is very attractive. The soil does not drain, filters are not needed. Easy to clean Recommended. Definitive. ADDED 6 months later: I loved it so much I bought another one to dedicate to my herbal teas. I use bulk ingredients with no problems. Tea bags are no longer needed, but also work well in a teapot. I have to steep some teas for 15 minutes and they are still nice and warm/hot when I pour them. 5 starts left.
