Perfect! in Hand Tools

I bought these almost by accident to try and polish small glass lenses which I thought would otherwise wear out completely . Per. I wasn't expecting much from this film considering the low price, but I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. The results exceeded my wildest expectations. I was able to restore my scratched or even completely chipped lenses to a mirror shine and perfect clarity. This lapping film is ideal for polishing optical fibers or anything where the glass surface needs to be flat. The film is pretty stiff so I don't know if you can get good results trying to polish something very round, but for optical fiber it's perfect. The adhesive backing helped a lot too; I was able to cut a few strips from the foil and tape them to a small piece of glass which gave me a really nice flat surface to polish on. This technique allows me to stretch this film for a variety of uses, I believe, and since whole sheets are fairly cheap, this product is shockingly cheap.
