I love these gloves and have used them catching lobsters in the Caribbean. They also protected my hands from fire corals and sharp objects. The seating is nice and comfortable. They drain water easily but need time to dry. Rubber padding on the outside if it's really good at protecting your hands from heavy hard objects I would use it to bounce off really sharp rocks. They're not shatterproof, but the extra padding helps a lot if you get trapped. However, I would avoid claws or strong fish bites. I highly recommend these gloves.
