I have a 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 with a factory hitch. This wire snapped right into the existing gray end under the dash. I didn't have to remove the pad, it's to the left of the brake pedal. Easy to find. I connected the other end to my Tekonsha Prodigy (first generation) brake controller #90185. Removed one screw on underside of dash, used bracket from brake control unit and screwed into place. Convenient position but no drilling or extra screws. The only thing I could easily figure out was how to remove this wiring harness once it was attached to the truck. It doesn't seem easy to take apart. I feel like I'm about to break something even with the clip pulled back. Hm.
