For those of you considering using these rings to drape window curtains, I have found after some experimentation that this is the most advantageous way to install them. . If you use a ring and bar to pull the drape all the way (only a drape provides coverage), the ring may be in front of the first sleeve. However, my intention is that if the two curtains are connected toward the center of the window, they should connect TOGETHER for complete privacy. I have found that placing the curtain ring behind the FIRST sleeve of each curtain and attaching the clip to the front edge of the curtain gives the best results. Place the ring clip on the curtain so that it is in the middle of the curtain rod. Attach the curtain rod clip to the curtain ring, not the grommet. The rod is then hidden behind the curtain and the curtains are drawn together for complete privacy (at least that's how it was for me). Here it is!
