I have used Sugar and Plum cotton yarn in the past but didn't like it. All my projects with it feel pretty tough no matter how washed it is. It also splits fairly easily, making it cumbersome to use. Caron has always been good for me with high quality yarns giving me minimal tears with high slippage on my aluminum hooks. This color is beautiful and definitely softer than cotton due to its thickness. The yarn is a good buy given that 2 ounces of it costs about $3 which would make buying smaller balls more expensive. It's cheaper than the knitted cone I was planning to buy instead. Both yarns are 12-14 oz. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will buy again for future projects.
