Squirrels love this food bowl and our deck has become the center of activity. The older ones know how to spread the peanuts quickly, but it's fun to watch the younger squirrels' learning curve as they do the overhead and sideways gymnastics to get the shells out! You can see how excited they get when they get it and pull out peanut by peanut. The bonus is that once they find a peanut feeder, they don't touch the bird feeders. I love that this makes them work a little for the food. I attached the feeder to the post with two zip ties because they kept knocking it down trying to get the clams out. Now it is very stable and can accept whatever they put out. Be prepared to invest in inshell peanuts because if you have any protein at all, everyone else will know about it! I would definitely buy this again.
