This gate looked great in the ad and when it arrived unboxed it didn't disappoint; until I tried to install. I was expecting rounded supports but only got flat railings. It didn't matter in the end because I mounted it with screws. The real problem was the wall hardware. I mounted it on the skirting board which according to the instructions and description should have fitted. Had not. Only 2 standoffs are included for the exposed screws, even though there are 3 exposed screws on a 3" baseboard. I couldn't mount it on a stand either, so I used the included drywall anchors with the included screws. It was useless. The screws were too short for the anchors to stretch and snap into place. The anchors themselves were also standard lightweight anchors. I ended up buying spring latch anchor bolts which did a great job of securing the gate to the wall. If the hardware kit included heavier anchors and longer screws, I wouldn't need to buy my own.
