My bird especially loves it in the winter months. This gives him something warm to snuggle up to at night when it gets cold. I have to replace them every year or so because he starts chewing on them and the only thing I would do to improve them would be to replace the strings with some twisted wire because he tends to chew on them too chewing the strings, and I end up using safety pins to attach them to their cage. I take it off and throw it in the laundry every few months because he loves to sit on it and poop on it too. But he does that with almost everything, so thank goodness things can be washed.
