One of the reasons I bought these is because the description says they are handmade, safety checked in the US and a US company/family business. I assumed they were made in the USA because I didn't see any mention of them being made in India before buying, but the box clearly says "MADE IN INDIA". I don't think it said they were made in the USA. When I opened the box to put it in our bar cart, I noticed that some of the mugs had a few spots where the copper plating was "missing". (looks worn but is brand new). It's disappointing, especially since they supposedly have that "21 point quality check" because I don't know how anyone could have missed it - it was the first thing I saw. a busy store to return them for Christmas (in a pandemic where we have to queue in the cold to even get into the store) and then buy them again so we just kept them. They are good for the price. They seem durable and like they will last. I would like the copper plating to fully cover all parts of the mugs but I think that's fine as most mugs are exactly what they should be.
