Couldn't stick with Car Racks & Carriers
I've had one of these for a few years. I carry a 44lb inflatable kayak on my shoulders and a basket full of kayaking gear (40-50lbs) in a basket in the bottom carry bag. I also took two sets of snow chains with me there. I've had issues with the attachment points for both the top and bottom bends over time. Claimed carrying capacity is 300 pounds and I loaded it at about half that. It's a beautiful design, in fact I like it so much I paid double the stand to have a welder reinforce it. But I wouldn't count on 300β¬.
