Worked for several months. Hot Trash.

These items are expensive because they are cheaply made. They're easy enough to install if the latch faces the same direction as the latch you're replacing. This assumes that the same lock is being replaced and not a new construction or conversion. It's not very difficult to reverse the latch unless your cat grabs the spring. Everything works for me except for some reason the key doesn't work from outside the room. I don't use it anyway, it's not a problem for me. But it should work if you're paying that much for this thing. My daughter has the same thing on the door and the handles kept coming off until I lubricated the screws with Loctite. The one I replaced on my door may have been the same ever since. it was replaced a few years ago. The screw holding the plate to the side of the case was still there. But the plate came off and everything in the lock was out of place. Let's see how long this lasts. I don't particularly like these. But it seems they're all pretty much the same crap no matter what brand or where you buy them, as long as you don't pay more. Only a few months since I installed it and it's already a problem. I hate replacing my old solid wood door because I can't find a decent replacement lock. I'll probably fill in the grooves and holes for modern locks. It's actually nonsense.
