There are two ways to use this bleed. The first way is dry, where you pressurize the empty bottle while it's attached to the master cylinder and squeeze the liquid out while being careful not to let air through the line. The second way, and in my opinion more optimal, is to add new brake fluid to the reservoir, pressurize and pump fluid through the system, which unlike the dry method is a one-time connection if you need to refill the MC from time to time high. I bought a device with a suitable adapter for my car and unfortunately it does not seal when using liquid. The lid lets liquid through everywhere, so I can only use the dry method. It's not the end of the world but I paid extra for a metal adapter and when I contacted Motive to find out if I bought the wrong adapter or did something wrong I got no response at all. I would give this a higher rating if I get an answer at all, but if anything else is wrong I don't think the customer service is very good and I'll have to go back to Revain to get something done. Updated on 09/26. - The bleed itself is fine, but I have to use it dry. I bought a high end adapter specifically for GM vehicles and unfortunately it doesn't hold the seal when pumping fluid even at 10psi. I contacted Motive about this back in August to see if I ordered the wrong part or the wrong part was sent. and still haven't received any response other than an automated FAQ email response. Disappointing service.
