This is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. Freshly grated cheese melts and works so much better than store bought cheese. Each grater option works well - I usually use the smallest one and use light pressure to get nice thin curly pieces of cheese. If I want to store it for a week or two, I usually put it in a gallon baggie and toss the cheese in some corn starch. It still melts and works well with the added corn starch. The suction will occasionally give out, but it's usually because I haven't wiped off my counter or the bottom black suction part. When those are both clean, I never have an issue with suction power. Top rack dishwasher safe was great when I had a dish washer, but washing by hand is simple too.
