Review on Injen Technology IS1471P Polished Intake by Dan Chunn

When replacing the air filter on my 2004 RSX I snapped off all the (stuck) screws that hold the stock airbox in place. After traveling with a sealed duck for some time I decided to buy this inlet. The box came out a little "worn" and I thought there was crap in it, but it isn't. Everything was in perfect order, including the (English) installation instructions. Installation was easy (see YouTube video) and can be done by anyone with basic mechanical knowledge (changing lightbulbs is MUCH harder). From the web, the RSX-S puts out around 12-15 horsepower. (dynamic stand). In my own experience, it definitely sounds better. More importantly, from a standing start it seems to accelerate much faster than the old (limited) airbox. The time to reach 6000 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear is now very short. This makes 3rd gear and 60km/h very quick and I find the 0-60 time much shorter than the stock shot. I'm looking forward to winter with outside temperatures below 90! A note: when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, short hissing noises can be heard from the air intake, which prompted me to check all the hose connections. Everything was fine, and as far as I know that's not a defect (but it's a bit uncomfortable hearing it for the first time).
