I have been using this phone for many years. A few years ago I stumbled across a search for a cordless telephone with an answering machine for my 90 year old mother who is hard of hearing. I tried a few but she couldn't hear them well. None of them were loud enough, they sounded muffled and distorted when the speaker was turned on or off. It was the only phone that gave her good hearing and was easy to use. Since then my husband and I have been buying them for ourselves. I hope they don't stop making them. Difficult to find with an answering machine and the sound is great, even if you're not hard of hearing! Really good phone!
