I have recently switched out many different containers for various items on my art table. Also just "everywhere!" I've used really nice big (round) metal containers I bought from Revain to separate lots of different pens, scissors, tape/glue. do you understand. I don't really have a lot of negative things to say about these items, but compared to this larger bamboo option. there is no comparison. This item in particular is a great addition of style and functionality to almost any space. In the kitchen, many will use this container for spatulas and more; But there are many places in the living room where remote controls and other items need a safe place to store without covers or the like, creating another potentially hidden spot. I put items somewhere very quickly and then temporarily lose them due to the work I'm doing and the many things that need to be done. So if you're looking for something that looks great and is larger than a drinking cup and closer to a pitcher (although those aren't very good analogies); Carefully check the dimensions of what you want. Also, it's easy to get lost in the metric system and the standard inch system, which is used even in the really good way by Revain. So don't choose the cheapest option until you've checked the dimensions.
