Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV 255/50 R19 107R winter by Mateusz Uliasz ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied with it, there are only some small flaws.

I traveled for 2 seasons on all-wheel drive Crete (215/60 R17) quite a bit - 8000 km, the number 8 on the indicators was not erased. As for me, very quiet, quieter than regular summer Neksen. Problems with braking and starting on any type of surface is not experienced, except for ice)). But ice is also different. It snows and rains for half the night and the whole car is covered with a crust of ice, there is just a skating rink and bare ice in the yard, there are no problems with starting, but the braking distance is simply huge, even for yard speeds, and the ABS works very early on Crete. But in such extreme conditions, the spikes behave very similarly - the ABS cracks, and the car rolls forward. In general, if you drive at the speed of the stream in winter and keep your distance, then you will slow down no worse than everyone else, respectively, you will have time to stop. And if you flew faster than anyone and suddenly there was a need to stop, then everything will depend on the coverage on the road. For the next season I plan to change R3 to Conti Viking 7, purely for the sake of comparison and curiosity.

Pros
  • Quiet
Cons
  • Expensive
