I wanted to find a mount for my iPhone that didn't require bolting anything to the dash or windshield. This solution was the best I could find and it works very well. First off, the mounting head is ambiguous enough to accommodate many different brands and models of smartphones as well as GPS devices. At the same time, the replacement bracket looks cheap. The flexible arm isn't very flexible at all, but you have to keep in mind that if it were more flexible you run the risk of your device moving when you don't want it to. Keep in mind that getting this in the right position can be difficult at first. The reason I replaced my original solution was because the mount moved when I was riding off-road. Playing with things like that while driving off-road was incredibly dangerous. Once installed and positioned, it stays put. The only real issue I had was a slight jerk/vibration in the long arm. I had to "lean" my hand against part of the console to clear it. The mounts worked well and seemed to fit almost every car. This is one of those products that you should install and never use again. I've had mine for 3 months and it's working as it was designed to do. Except for the cheap plastic mount I'm very happy with it. Note. If the product is excellent, I give 4 stars. 5-star reviews are given to products with excellent design, ease of use, price and build quality. That's rare for me. Keep this in mind when considering my review.
