The product is too thin and cheaply made for normal use.
When I first used this product I was shelling 12 year old corn and it worked very well. The second time I used it, the blade felt a bit loose. The blade itself is metal, which I noticed is that it's very thin. Everything fell apart after the second use. I tried putting the lid on but it didn't close properly because one of the little white plastic tabs holding the top to the bottom was broken. .
