We needed a new router that could handle streaming devices, our phones and laptops, and the dual-band Linksys WRT AC1200 sounded like a great fit for our needs and budget. Immediately we had problems connecting all our devices at the same time. Our Windows 10 laptop and desktop Mac couldn't even see the network, and our droid phones and Chromebooks got connected and then magically disconnected. Thankfully, we haven't had any real issues with either of our Roku devices. I called the Linksys Helpdesk to troubleshoot and it took 65 minutes for a rep to help me get connected. First she told me about manual settings to no avail, and then she allowed remote troubleshooting (usually it costs a small fee) because it was so weird how it didn't work. After trying to start the WiFi remotely, she simply rebooted the router, which fixed the issue and allowed all devices to connect. Then within an hour we started losing connections again and couldn't reconnect the same devices. We sent it back and settled on the D-Link AC3200, which was recommended to us by a network designer friend.
