Even with remote troubleshooting, they couldn't connect my devices.

We needed a new router that could handle streaming devices, our phones and laptops, and the dual-band Linksys WRT AC1200 sounded like a great fit for our needs and budget. Immediately we had problems connecting all our devices at the same time. Our Windows 10 laptop and desktop Mac couldn't even see the network, and our droid phones and Chromebooks got connected and then magically disconnected. Thankfully, we haven't had any real issues with either of our Roku devices. I called the Linksysโ€ฆ

Linksys WRT AC1200 problems!

1. Hello! Last week I bought a Linksys WRT 1200 AC router. But I have problems with the product. I would like to briefly state my concerns listed below. I look forward to your support and help. I have problems with WRT 1200AC; 1 - The light on the device is 'orange' even though I'm properly connecting to the internet and it shows I'm connected through the Linksys web interface. 2. There is a tingling noise coming from the power supply of the AC adapter. Sometimes the voice breaks. But latelyโ€ฆ

DD-WRT Router Works well with strong signal. Kind of awkward design.

Works well. I upgraded the stock antennas to larger ones for longer range and also flashed them with DD-WRT to unlock all the features. This device now has a longer range than Netgear's new Wi-Fi router, reaching areas that the Motorola modem and router combo cannot. If this AC1200 does the work for you, you can save a few bucks and extend the range with some upgraded antennas. The location where this device is used allows 3 to 5 wireless streaming devices to be connected at the same timeโ€ฆ

Reliable dual-band signals, easy setup and admin interface.

This has got to be one of the easiest router tweaks I've ever done. I'm not a "techie" but the interface and instructions were very simple and I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. The dual-band option suits my older 2.5GHz devices, while the 5GHz band satisfies my high-speed data needs. In addition, the range is large. I have about 16 devices that work both wired and wireless, including 3 FireSticks, 3 Roku boxes, 3 TVs, and regular cell phones and tablets. Zero latency and 4K media. On

  • Satisfied so far

The VPN works well.

Great router, I bought it to run a dedicated VPN. I flashed the router, configured the VPN and connected to the main router. Did. I get full internet speed without VPN and around 30-40Mbps up and down with VPN. Thank you for another great product from Linksys. I also have a 1900ac which I would recommend if you have multiple streaming devices.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Linksys SUCK in Tech Support!

I bought 3 of these routers and one died under warranty a week ago, 56mins 9s on the phone with their 'tech support'. That's technical stupidity, I was asked at least 5 times, what is the output voltage on the adapter, what is the voltage on the router (translated: how high is the input voltage specified on the router). I explained that only 3 indicators are on and flashing: 2.4GHz, 5GHz. , and eSATA lights up. I have reset the router 5 or more times and 3 times when I called "tech support"โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Skip This One: Router

This router requires too many tweaks to get a decent end result that is about the same speed as a router that costs around $20-50. one of them was needed. Maybe it's worth it. It works, to be honest, but speeds fluctuate and are inconsistent. It is too much. I should have done more research and bought a more modern car.

Pros
  • Expensive but Decent
Cons
  • Compatibility

Best 802.11ac OpenWRT Router 2015?

This review is for those who want to use OpenWRT instead of the Linksys firmware. DEFAULT FIRMWARE: My only comment on the Linksys firmware: And you don't need to sign up for "Linksys Smart Wi-Fi": Below the login window is a tiny link "Sign in to local router". Use it instead of logging into Smart Wi-Fi. BACKGROUND: If you're looking for a high-performance 802.11ac OpenWRT router, your options are limited. You can get an Atheros MIPS-based product, but the processing power is years oldโ€ฆ

Slow down, let me help!

Now it's a router! First, let me start by saying that I really like this router. It has an excellent WiFi range, it's dual-band so I have a choice and can set up a guest network with one click. It has a user-friendly interface that allows regular users to make changes as they see fit. Also, you can prioritize media by simply dragging and dropping your computer or any device to the top of the list or to a separate list. This ensures that no matter how many devices are connected, the device youโ€ฆ
