Side clamps too rigid

The silicone clamp mounts on the sides are too rigid to insert the plug into an outlet. Otherwise it's a very solid product with good wire gauge. We couldn't risk forcing it into the female receptacle of our 110 refrigeration cooler adapter because doing so would break that receptacle.
