I have a 2005 Tundra. Installation wasn't too difficult and I consider myself a beginner in car repair and maintenance. I just wish there was a better explanation of the camera components as I didn't have to use the cigarette lighter as a power source when plugging it into my tail light. When I removed the reverse light harness there was a black and red wire. I just connected the wires from the camera to the red to red and black to black connectors on the reverse light wires. It was easier than I thought. I routed the wires under my truck through the holes in the frame, avoiding moving parts or hot parts like the exhaust system under the driver's side floor panel where the jack was (there's a YouTube video showing how to get on the jack accesses) and connected it to my rear view mirror. Be sure to test the camera to make sure it works before running and hiding any cables.
