My recycling was pretty bad. I spent about two minutes with this brush including cleaning. The smell is 97% gone. The handle, shaft and bristles are quite stiff. Overall, the build quality is good to excellent. The brush size is ideal. Cleaning was easy. For some reason, the garbage didn't stick tightly to the stubble. That surprised me a little. The rubber fender (that black rubber thing you see if you look in the trash) picked up quite a bit of dirt from both the top and bottom. The brush removed it fairly easily. Tip: Use detergents on your brush, especially if you are putting greasy substances through disposal.
