I tried them when I first got them and couldn't read them properly when I plugged them in. I tried next year same problem. Tried them this year and the same! Keep reading full battery/failed battery, which is clearly not true. My battery was completely dead this year so after plugging it in and giving it a bit of a charge but knowing it wasn't fully charged I unplugged these guys, towed my tractor to my driveway and made the same connections (but without these) and low and lo. my tractor is finally loading and reading the Battery Tender 022-0209-DL-WH correctly. The real question is whether it just didn't read properly or didn't charge. If, according to the instructions, a full charge indicator lights up and does not go out, the battery is defective. Today I proved it wasn't by taking extension cords out of the equation. For the past two years I've almost killed myself configuring, moving, unplugging and plugging back in because of those horrible extension cords. Huge waste of my time and money. Of course, now that my battery is damaged by these cables, I'll soon have more money. Many thanks to the battery tender!
