I bought this kettle to replace the Revere Ware Kettle I had for over 30 years. Revere is holding his $88 and solid copper bottom. This half price kettle has durable construction and a porcelain coating so the water comes out clean and delicious. The lid is removable for easy filling, but remains securely closed when pouring. The handle doesn't feel hot even when the water is boiling, but a small lever to lift the spout to inflate even feels cool. Revere Ware does not come close to any of these characteristics. And if you don't like all colors, get in.
