When I moved into my house, all the ethernet cables in the garage were "terminated". Looking closely, I noticed that they weren't terminated, they were simply in the Legrand Q box with connectors. So I have all the ethernet cables in the same place, but there is a way to connect them to the switch. I tried adding connectors at the end but gave up when I realized I just wasn't that comfortable. Enter this "switch". It plugs directly into my legrad q box without tools and the color code for the ethernet cable says which "port". I had to buy a stamping tool, but to be honest, learning to stamp (5 minute YouTube video) was easier and cheaper than hiring someone. When I was done, it took me 20 minutes to disassemble, knock out, and test each "port". Once that was done I connected each to a standard switch and boom. All my ethernet ports were active. It's plastic so be careful when handling it, but it was enough to get the punch tool through.
