When a pregnant mom asks "What do I need” I always say, if you are planning to breastfeed, buy Haakaa! I've been using Haakaa since the first week of breastfeeding. I use it every time I breastfeed on the other side. After my supply stabilizes at about 4 weeks, I'm typically getting 1.5-3 ounces per application and an average of 11-13 ounces per day when breastfeeding at home rather than at work. The easiest. ounces. Ye! During my 12 week maternity leave I was able to get 1-2 bottles of milk a day for my husband AND saved over 400 ounces in my freezer! Without a pump! Now that my baby sleeps longer at night, I sometimes use Haakaa to relieve pressure, which is much more convenient to use Haakaa for 5 minutes at 3am than to take out the pump, put everything together, pump, wash, too put back together for work and so on. I don't know where I would be in my BF journey without Haakaa and I'm SO grateful that my boyfriend suggested this to me when I was pregnant. I actually have more than one Haakaa because it's so handy! I prefer this one over the other because it has more storage capacity and also seems to have better suction power given its size.
