Some of them are still working, others are out of service and couldn't protect my gear

I bought some of these because I don't have fiber between buildings. Some of them still work, although I'm not sure if they've really been put to the test. But I recently lost 3 of them and 3 network switches that were supposed to protect them. Some comments give 5 stars and say "I hope this works".
