Better than nothing
This may only work to hold large items like gas canisters in a truck. Although it locks at both the top and bottom, it stretches too much for anything small to slide under where there isn't enough tension. There are two parts where smaller pockets could be placed between the two halves but I wouldn't trust. Overall I think a 2 x 2 wooden frame would be a waste of money.
