Review on 📺 Hangman S-2040A No Stud TV Hanger Mount for TVs up to 55 inches by Marc Burke

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installed a 65 " TV on the wall 4 years ago.

It is worth noting that my use of these TVs is somewhat unique. I have a 65" Toshiba TV and am very happy with it. My apartment didn't allow me to drill into my living room wall or cut into studs so I couldn't use a standard wall mount for my TV. So here's what I did. I contacted Hangman Products directly and want to start by saying that they were very friendly to communicate with. Since they are designed for 55" and smaller TVs, they don't work very well with anything larger. The reason for this is that TVs larger than 55" usually have inputs and outputs pointing outwards from the back of the TV instead of downwards, so cable spacing was important to them as well as weight. Everyone is 80 pounds rated. My TV weighs about 75 pounds or so. It's pushing the limits a little and I'm feeling a little uncomfortable. But what about using two of these on the same TV? I can confirm it works! Hangman Products stated design limitations and weight issues above when I spoke to them, but theoretically if the hangers could be spaced far enough apart that each would carry the same or nearly the same load then there shouldn't have been any holding issues. I risked my good expensive TV to satisfy my curiosity and the cat is still alive! I made sure to double check my measurements and double check my math and double check my math and nail them to the walls with their suspiciously small nails. Trust me, when you start hammering these things in, you start to worry a lot and think, "These little things I can bend between my fingers are going to support my giant TV?" They kind of do through science, physics, witchcraft, black magic, or some previously unknown alien technology. Mine has been hanging on the wall since December 2016 and hasn't moved a bit. To solve the cable problem, which is a real problem, I plugged my HDMI cables into right angle adapters and populated all the inputs on the TV. . I then routed these cables into a project box I built using HDMI, TOSLINK and other wall panels and installed them under the TV. So if I ever need to switch inputs, it will be directly under the TV, which turned out to be easier than having the TV on top of the entertainment center. GENERAL: Excellent product. Genius. I'm a believer, they work. It's hard to breathe before you let your hard-earned money stop on these seemingly insignificant things, but breathe easy, they won't let you down. UPDATE (March 12, 2020): I'm glad this helped a lot of people. . I would like to inform you that we have now moved from our apartment to a new house. When dismantling these fasteners, the screws really had to be backed out so that they loosened, didn't move an inch and were firmly seated in the wall. I also chose to reuse them in our master bedroom in our new home for a large screen TV using the same technique detailed in my original review and this TV has been hanging on the same brackets reinstall since 2017 and is still firmly attached to its Place. It's really adorable!
