MY RATING IS 1 STARI bought these to dispense oral medication for my cat. He is very unhappy with the process, so it has to be quick. He spits out the compounded pill if not followed by liquid form of same medication. Since I only received 1 reusable syringe from the pharmacy, I thought it would be a good idea to have a small number of extras on hand to put in rotation.THESE ARE NOT REUSABLE.When I got the package, they were individually wrapped in plastic, but I had to cut them to open. I couldn't peel them open. This packaging was wasteful, tedious, bad for environment, and unnecessary, considering you can purchase a syringe from the pharmacy for adults that is in a pealable paper package with a clear window.Since I have to hold my cat with one arm and use the syringe in one hand, it is expected that the release should be easy, that is, it should be easy to dispense the medication quickly all at once or at least in a controlled way. The suction is just way too strong, so the stopper doesn't move. I'd have to use 2 hands. I couldn't even get the medication into the syringe easily because of this problem.Do yourself a favor and ask if the pharmacy will give you a few extra syringes when you pick up your oral medication. If they won't give them to you for free, ask if they sell them in the store or if you can purchase a few of them directly from the pharmacy. My big box store pharmacy gives you 1 or 2 reusable ones and I've been pleased.Right now I need to clean myself up because I am scratched up from trying to get the full dose into my cats mouth. Thankfully, I put 2x his dose in there knowing with this syringe I'd only be able to get at least 1 ml in him.
