This is a very simple filter design that I think is one of the best. Simplified design improves reliability. The best thing about this system is the installation; The one-piece top has solid mounting holes that allow you to mount the filter to something rigid rather than just hanging between pipes. This means that changing the filter is much easier; Holding the device in place, you can safely remove the bottom knowing the top isn't trying to twist together with the bottom. The maintenance of this filter consists of a replaceable O-ring.
