Setting up to receive a signal requires a specific procedure, specification refinement

At first I thought it wouldn't work, but the LaCrosse website has much better instructions than the fuzzy printed instructions provided. . There is a specific procedure for preparing to receive a signal. I wish I had read beforehand that a metal roof or microwave nearby could be blocking the signal. Some reviewers have written that it needs to adjust for Daylight Saving Time, but there's a button that the manual says does it automatically. The information below was taken from the LaCrosse website with some adjustments for clarity. La Crosse Technology Atomic Analog Wall Clock Description: 10" Silver $20.59 WT-3102S Factory price: $35.9510. FrameFour time zone settings: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific. Manual reset button • When battery is installed, hands move to the 12 o'clock - position and search for a radio signal. If no radio signal is received for the first 10 minutes, the clock will start from the 12:00 position and continue ticking. Wait up to five nights for the clock to receive a WWVB signal before you set the time manually • Even if the time on the watch is wrong, do not try to reset the hands manually. The watch is synchronized with the WWVB signal and after decoding the radio signal, the hands will automatically adjust to the correct time It may take up to 5 nights for atmospheric disturbances • Choose a location that is at least 6 feet from electronic devices such as cordless phones, wireless gaming systems, F TVs, microwave ovens, routers, baby monitors, etc. that may interfere with signal reception. .• Large office buildings, schools or hospitals may not receive the WWVB time signal in every room. • Buildings with metal roofs can interfere with reception. • Replace battery every 24 months to maintain accuracy. Remove the battery if the clock will not be used for a long time. • When the hands rotate at approximately the same time each day, the watch automatically corrects the time. The hour hand must not turn around the clock more than twice. The hands may rotate when the battery is low or overcharged. Daylight Saving Time: The National Institute of Standards and Technology and WWVB encode a special "bit" for Daylight Saving Time in WWVB daylight saving time broadcasts. If you live in an area that does not observe daylight saving time, you must set the daylight saving time switch to the OFF position. To reactivate daylight saving time, turn it on. Your watch reads this information and automatically advances the hands to one o'clock in the spring and eleven o'clock in the fall. Troubleshooting Erratic Hand Movement: If the hands spin continuously, jump on the dial, or don't move, this indicates a weak or overcharged battery (Warranty #1 issue). • Replace the battery, reboot and wait 5 days to get the WWVB signal. • If constant rotation continues, the mechanism may need to be replaced. To set the clock manually: 1. To activate manual mode, press and hold the SET button for more than 3 seconds.2. There are two ways to advance the minute hand. Press and hold the SET button to make the minute hand advance continuously. b. Alternatively, you can advance the minute hand step by step (per minute) by pressing the SET button quickly (more than once per second).3. Use the methods above to advance the minute hand until the correct time is set. If the SET button is not pressed for six seconds or more, the watch will automatically exit from manual mode.
