I appreciate when others post useful information, I hope this information is useful to someone. The Marvell SATA3 controller on my motherboard is complete junk, it just doesn't work properly. I was hesitant to take a risk on this board because it's also Marvell. But it worked fine. Windows 10 will recognize this board during a clean install without the need to manually download drivers. Also just for testing I installed the board without reinstallation. I just threw the SSD cable from the built-in Sata2 to this board and the OS booted with no problems (with Win10). The speed increase was significant. My test drive is a Samsung EVO 850 SSD 500GB. I am attaching two photos of SSD benchmarks, the slower the EVO runs from the onboard SATA2, the faster this SATA3 board will pass the test.
