I bought one of these when I got my camper van a few years ago and it works so well that I buy a new one every time it's time to close it substitute. This filter passed the real test last year. We were camping and as usual I left the faucet running before attaching it to my RV and noticed that the water was very dirty - it was almost brown at first. I ran the water until it was fairly clear, attached an external in-line filter and plugged it in. Our tap water tasted good and smelled good. When I replaced this filter this spring, it had a lot of dirt clogging it. But we never noticed a drop in water pressure.
