This product is of good quality and works very well as advertised. I think this comes in handy when preparing large batches of apples for freezing, canning, or drying. If I'm only processing a small batch I find this a bit wasteful as it removes a lot of the apples along with the core and really only saves a few seconds. However, this is not a shortcoming of this particular stoner, but of all stoners in general. My favorite thing to do is cut the apples in half and remove the core with a melon press.
