I have been knitting with Addi needles for many years. I have fixed circulars, multiple cable sizes and lengths. I wanted this replacement set with "blunter" tips and there is a difference in this new finish implemented by Addy. My old solid round cables are nickel plated. I have a set of spare Addi lace tips and they are nickel plated. In my experience, the plugs also do not work with this bronze-colored set, they are more difficult to fix. In my set of spare laces, the connectors connect and lock more easily. With this set I believe I've plugged them in and it pulls out. Several attempts and I was able to block them. I didn't try all three cables, so it could be because one cable was problematic while the other two were fine. After gaining experience with Addi needles and their signature 'smooth' finish, the bronze finish created resistance and resistance to my knitting. The difference in knitting between nickel-plated and bronze-colored finishes was very different. I sent them back and ordered the "Original" set.
