Been using this item for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it; works as described and the quality has exceeded my expectations, very solid and isn't all that heavy to boot. It keeps beverages ice cold when set at 4 degrees Celsius, no Fahrenheit settings; just remember 0 degrees is freezing. I keep mine set at 4 degrees, Eco, battery cutoff at "L", which works perfect and hasn't run my truck battery down to low when my truck isn't running.I purchased this thinking if I liked it, and worked well, I would purchase the larger version of this model to use as a refrigerator and then use this one as a freezer, since this model is less than 14" tall and would fit under my bunk, while placing the larger one in the passenger seat. I purchased this model first primarily because it cost less and to see how the size worked for me. Now that I have this model and have currently been using for a couple of weeks, being thoughly impressed with the quality and function this far and surprised as to how much I can cram into this cooler; I have decided to to purchase this model again to use as a freezer, deciding I don't need the larger size with space inside a truck cab being at a premium. I will actually be able to put both under my bunk at the same time if I ever need the passenger seat available; a big bonus I wasn't anticipating. Items I can put into this model all at once: 3 half-gallons of milk, 3 cans of soda,,3 packs of sliced cheese, 4 - 8oz packs of sliced lunch meat,1 - 16oz container of cottage cheese, 2 small containers of yogurt, 1 container of squeeze mayo,1 small container of protein drink and several apples. This pretty much packs it, but it's enough to last me for about 3 weeks. Once I finish one of the half gallons of milk gives me more room and I have space for a couple containers of fresh fruit that you see at all the Love's truck stops. BTW, small compartment just above the compressor doesn't get as cold as the main compartment, which I find perfect for storing string cheese anda couple pints of fresh blueberries to add to oatmeal. As a freezer I'm figuring that I'll be able to store 2 - 9" pizzas, 2 potpies, 2 pints of ice cream and a bag of ice for drinks.I'll try to remember to update this once I have been using both units for several months and longer.
