My PS3's disc drive started clicking on some discs and didn't recognize them until they were ejected and re-inserted - sometimes 15/20 times So got it i have tried replacing it with this one. I used to easily replace a disc in my Xbox 360 and had to replace the controller card just like PS3. However, this drive is much more delicate and when trying to swap out the controller I damaged the ribbon cable connector. I ended up locking it in place, but it's entirely possible that it will be moved at some point in the future. The drive works great but has some difficulty loading discs - I have to insert them in all directions. Path. It would also be nice if this drive included some tools to make it easier to unplug the ribbon cable.
