I don't know what the "thickness" or "warmth" ratings stand for, but let's get started. First of all, it's SUPER! I only recently got into RetroPie while experimenting with some Pi 3B boards lying around. But then I saw it in a review on Youtube and wanted to buy it. The advantage for me was the removable cassette, in which you can put a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. So I went and ordered a Pi 4 kit along with a NesPi4 case kit. I tried to get the RetroPie system to boot from a 240GB SSD I had lying around, but it works great and I now have enough room for a system with thousands of retro ROMs. There are just a few little things that bother me. Not much. One of them is the "Safe Shutdown" feature on the power supply board. It works if you load a script/driver for it, but it works quite oddly if you reboot before turning off instead of just shutting down immediately. Shutdown can, fortunately This feature can be turned off with an internal switch. I definitely prefer instant on and off without turning it on. I just don't feel like I have full control when it's on, and since I have my RetroPie on all the time Anyway, it's not a necessary feature for me anyway.Second, it turns off the fan.Given the size of the heatsink and fan, I expected it to be a bit quieter than it actually is.It's not loud by any means, but I can definitely hear purring under my TV when it's on, unlike my original Miuzei Pi 3B with acrylic ge hΓ€use Pi 3B, which ran almost silently thanks to its small built-in fan. Again, when it comes to system cooling, I prefer safety to regret, so this is definitely not a deal killer. I have to say a big thank you to Retroflag. This is amazing stuff! Give me a fan speed script and an improved safe shutdown script for this thing and I'll happily give it 5 stars all day, every day.
