I bought this basic because I needed extra height to sit at my desk, but the maximum height given in the dimensions is the height of a seat, up where no one sits does not sit. I weigh 220 pounds. and it sank about four inches, making it the same height as the one I was going to replace. Second, the rather thick cushion makes sitting unstable, and if you don't sit squarely in the middle, you feel like you might fall over at any moment, so you're constantly trying to balance on it. This is compounded by the fact that the pillow is too small and has no contour for your bottom. Finally, the back of the seat is not adjustable and therefore you have to sit too far forward and feel like you are falling out. I was very dissatisfied with the product but didn't want to go through the packaging process to send it back so I gave it to a friend and he said he would try if he was okay with me and he ended up giving it away. If you wait to order, it's possible that the chair will come to you through a friend and you won't have to buy it.
