I work with wood a lot so I bought a moisture meter. I like to make sure the humidity is low before staining and sealing and this product does the trick! I compared it with my friend Protimeter Surveymaster on several different pieces and species of wood and the results were within +/- 0.5%. As an unsuspecting added bonus, I was able to spot moisture behind the drywall in the corner of my home where I suspected the second-story window above was leaking. Suspicion confirmed! Well, now I have to rip out the drywall and plug the leak, but at least it doesn't hurt anymore. *This review was written by my husband, I'm not a woodworker or anything.*
