When my 10-12 year old laptop started failing I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 much faster speed, more memory and storage space, but no. DVD drive. This was a problem for several reasons: I like archiving my photos onto DVD, I like burning my vinyl onto an audio CD, and I like using LightScribe disc labeling. I have an entire DVD+R spindle that I bought on sale and enjoy using it. This little beauty knows everything. I didn't appreciate the tech support when I took the drive out of the box, plugged it in and it worked like a charm. Very inexpensive and you can download the free LightScribe Simple Labeler app or get a full featured labeler for a few bucks.
