Switched from Ring and glad I did - Install Help

Longtime Ring user and glad I switched to Eufy. I use both product groups (as well as a few others) but the Eufy products are a bit more robust and advanced. I love the app and the constant updates. It is really good that the Home Base has a built-in backup battery. I also like the anti-theft protection. I had a few problems with the installation. Followed the instructions and everything went fine for a couple of hours. Reuse of existing doorbell wiring and bell box. I simply installed a black jumper between the terminals of an existing bell and everything worked fine - for a couple of hours. After 2-3 hours the doorbell stopped working and I reinstalled the original bell button and removed the jumper - no luck. After the electrician looked at it, the culprit was the transformer. As a result: 1. Replaced the transformer (the main culprit). This is a cheap part that can be found in several places in your basement (if you have a basement). Possible places to look for a transformer include a smoke detector in the basement or an electrical panel. The transformer steps down the voltage from 120V to 16V to 24V to power your "low voltage” doorbell.2. Although it wasn't necessary, I replaced an existing bell box that was already in the house. You can find a $25 kit at a major department store that includes a ringer box, doorbell button, and transformer. I reinstalled the jumper in the new bell box.3. Success! Since I had already installed the Eufy doorbell and replaced the transformer, everything worked. Overall I like the product and the app. I also like the Smart Assistant integration, although technically it's in beta.
