Review on ONVIS Hygrometer Thermometer Temperature Bluetooth by Michael Moonin

I had high hopes for the Onvis smart motion detector but it turned out to be a very disappointing piece of junk. I needed a smart motion detector for my garage that would turn on the lights when someone walked through the door. Setup was pretty easy: put the batteries in, then use the Home app to scan the code and set it up on my network. Once it was set up, I created an automation script that turned on two of my ceiling lights in the garage and one light on my desktop when motion was detected. All three lights are controlled by Koogeek smart plugs. And it worked, the first time. As soon as it detected movement all three lights would come on and operate for 20 minutes which I programmed into the automation. In the evening of the same day I returned to the garage, opened the door and went in, but there was no light! When I checked my iPhone, Onvis said "not responding". I reinstalled the batteries but it still said it wasn't responding so I reset and reinstalled in the Home app. Again everything worked fine until it sat for a while then went offline and became unresponsive. I have a mesh network in my garage so it gets a good, strong network signal. The next day I downloaded the Onvis app to see if there was a newer firmware I could download and install. But even after updating the firmware, it kept dropping out of the network. After struggling with it for a few days, I decided to send it back and bought another motion sensor, this time a Philips Hue. Philips has been running non-stop for months.
