They came with instructions that weren't very good. I could probably go to YouTube and find some of the best ones, but being stubborn I tried to follow their tiny pictures on the box. Difficult to align them on my Buick Encore as they are in two pieces. There's a light bigger than I imagined and a magnet. It works by placing a light on the door and a magnet in the car between the seat and the door. It was very difficult to find a place where it actually fits in and doesn't get in the way of me getting in and out of the car. A magnet always comes off and I have to reattach it with more 3M tape that I had to buy myself, which isn't cheap. The light itself shines very well and covers a large area, so I'm very happy with it. I just want the whole assembly to be smaller and better designed.
