Great price at $7.33 Purchased December 2019 The board is mounted on a hardwood base so I can hang it on the wall. The mounting base has a place to store a small rolling pin along with the main block. I like it being wall mounted so it doesn't get damaged in a drawer with other kitchen appliances. It is clearly made of natural light solid wood (beech) without varnish or shellac. Its finish is very fine and smooth. A small instruction manual was included in the scope of delivery. I found it fairly easy to gently slide the fresh dumplings through the groves with my thumb to perfectly shape the signature stripes. Haven't used it for garganelli yet but will soon. Cleaning was easy: a quick wipe down with a damp washcloth.
